Dimension 4400

The Dell Dimension 4400 PC is not quite top of the line but it is just at the corner of the affordable/top of the line curve. It has a Pentium IV 1.6GHz processor, 256 megs of ram, a 20 gig hard drive, a decent graphics card, speakers, 17 inch monitor, 56k modem, Microsoft XP OS, Microsoft works suite 2002 with Money 2002 standard, a keyboard and optical mouse (which is really cool since there is nothing to clean). It is also comes with either a DVD or CDRW drive.

Having used a variation of this system in class for the last several months I have to say it is not a bad home PC system to have. For only $914 (after $75 mail in rebate), this is perfect for those who are in the market for a bran new PC. Unfortuently, I am not one of those people. My homemade frankenstien computer with 700 mhz processor, and 192 mgs of ram is serving my needs nicely at the moment.
