In an article on Brillianet’s internet
site, Christine Zimmerman informs that Ethernet is jumping to 10 gigabits
and by 2002 this will be the standard in the Ethernet world. This
10 gigabits would allow greater bandwidth, allowing information to be sent
faster and in greater capacity. Surprisingly, this advancement will
mean a decrease in the cost of compared to previous ethernets which will
be even more beneficial.
