MMA2310: Introduction to Multimedia

This course is the first course in the Multimedia sequence. Student in this class will become familiar with multimedia concepts, terminology, and software. We use Photoshop, Premiere, Audacity, and Dreamweaver. We also use digital cameras and video recorders. Students who have their own equipment are encouraged to use it. Students may also check out cameras and camcorders from the Media Center, located in the Jay-Rollins Library.

Students apply appropriate design principles and develop technical skills as they create video, audio, text, and digital images. Each student creates and publishes a digital portfolio as the culminating project.

Students learn some basic composition techniques and use digital cameras to photograph a variety of people, places, and objects around the campus.
