Gene Currie is a graduate of Abilene High School and Hardin-Simmons University. He directed high school bands for 35 years. He is also an accomplished arranger and composer.

Spanish Suite, by Rob Hartman, is a three movement piece that incorporates rhythms and sounds typical of Spanish music set in traditional dance suite form.
Mr. Hartman is band director at Anson, Texas, High School. He earned his Bachelor of Music degree from Howard Payne University, and is currently working toward a Master of Music degree in composition from Hardin-Simmons University.
